On Nov. 3 from 3:00-4:00 PM in the St. Thomas Church parking lot, the Creation Care Team and the Youth Ministry of St. Thomas Parish will be collecting clothes and other items to donate to Mary’s Corner for distribution to children in need.
Tom Kane is leaving his post as Principal of St. Thomas School effective this Friday, October 30, 2020. We thank Tom for over 20 years of service to St. Thomas and wish him well in his future endeavors. We will miss him. Read his letter to the school and parish by Clicking on the news item.
Toiletry Drive this Tuesday Oct. 27 from 3pm-4pm in the church parking lot. We are collecting Toiletries for our annual Christmas Necessity Bags for seniors served at St. John /St. Ann’s Outreach Center in Albany. We are collecting individually wrapped toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, razors, shaving cream and hand santizer. Thank you so much for your generosity!
Wow! We are on our way to filling 45 Christmas Necessity Bags with lots of household products and paper goods that will be so helpful to seniors on a fixed income. Next week we will add toiletry products to our gift bags! Special shout out to our wonderful greeters and sorters: Caitlyn & Ryan Teplitzky! Join the Capital Region Interfaith Creation Care Coalition (CRICCC) and Riverkeeper for a clean-up of Hudson Shores Park in Watervliet on October 17 or 18 from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM. It's the 9th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep day of service, and this activity is suitable for children ages 10 and above with adult supervision.
