Which large area institution is acting to limit plastic waste?

Bethlehem Central School District, as of April 29, 2019, is limiting plastic straw use in its school cafeterias.

In a district press release Bethlehem Food Service Director Allissa Eiser said the school district wants to do its part to protect the world’s oceans and wildlife… Bethlehem schools will no longer offer students and staff plastic straws.

SUNY Albany is also taking steps to ban the straw, according to the Times Union.
