St. Thomas now collects these items for recycling through TerraCycle
®
:
Items must be
empty
and the outside should be
dry
. The following items can be accepted:
Foil-lined granola/energy/protein bar wrappers
Squeezeable Snack Pouches (with caps attached):
Applesauce, baby/toddler snack pouches
Personal Care and Cosmetic Packaging—
Note:
Items must be
empty
and small, nothing that can be recycled through curbside pickup:
deodorant containers, toothpaste tubes, toothbrushes, floss containers, mouthwash bottle caps
pumps/triggers (soap, lotion, hair spray, etc.)
tubes (lotion, hair gel, body wash, etc.)
small caps (shampoo, lotion, etc.; NO soda/beverage caps, please. ONLY from personal care/beauty products)
lip balm, lip gloss, chapstick, and lipstick containers; eye and lip liner pencils; mascara and concealer tubes; cosmetic cases (eye shadow, bronzer, powder, etc.)
What to do
Remove as much of the remaining/excess product you can, re-cap items when possible, and make sure the exteriors are dry.
Drop in the collection boxes in the Gathering Space!
