FAREWELL DAN AND THANK YOU ~ Dan McHale, our “Summer Seminarian”, will be returning to seminary this week. During his short ten weeks here, his enthusiasm and commitment have been contagious. Aside from his involvement in our regular parish ministries, he also initiated a couple of new ones. One in particular is worth mentioning. He took it upon himself to start visiting some of our retired priests who are in retirement facilities and don’t often get many visitors. The diocese was so impressed that our Vocations Office told him that they will continue this ministry with local seminarian aspirants. Personally, I have very much enjoyed his company and quick wit [without him, I would never have learned about baseball card auctions nor the pros and cons of drinking Red Bull]. To keep in touch with Dan, his seminary address is: PSJ XXIII National Seminary, 558 South Ave., Weston, MA 02493.
Do You Have a Car You Can Donate? ~ A family (two adults, four children) in the parish is in need of a car and currently unable to incur that significant expense. Are you ready to buy a new car and can afford to donate your current one? Or do you have a car that is really not being used and you would like to have it put to very good use? If you are interested and able to donate, please call Pat Holm at the parish office and she can put you in touch with the family. Thank you for your generosity
