“An awareness of the gravity of today’s cultural and ecological crisis must be translated into new habits.”
Pope Francis, Laudato Si’, On Care For Our Common Home
New habits focused on protecting the environment and the people of this world are essential to Caring for our Common Home, but new habits take time. In fact, studies indicate it may take from 66 to 254 days for an action to become automatic. It is important to begin today to learn what we can do to Care for Creation and then to act.
Habits to Consider: Every Tuesday from 3:00-4:00 PM, Youth Ministry hosts a drive in the church parking lot to help those in need in our community. Check the bulletin for items needed.
Begin composting. Bottle your own water. Use cloth napkins.
Watch the free documentary: Need To Grow at Food Revolution Network to learn other new habits, and then join the Creation Care Team at 7:00 PM, November 17 for a Zoom discussion of the movie's content. To register for the Zoom conversation, email Barb Leonard at [email protected].
