Over the past four years, the St. Thomas Creation Care Team has gathered donations from our generous parishioners to help fund projects that provide access to clean, safe and reliable water and sanitation across sub-Saharan Africa. To date we have funded several community and school based wells and sanitation stations in Kenya and Sierra Leone. We recently sent another donation through our partner organization The Water Project, a faith-based organization in Concord, New Hampshire.
The funds we donated are being used to help construct a rainwater catchment system for the Bulukhombe Primary School in western Kenya. View photos and descriptions of this project (still in progress).
As a parish, St. Thomas should be very proud of the assistance we have provided to another needy and deserving community. Thank you for your generosity and caring!
