Give Mother Earth a gift this May. Join the Capital Region Interfaith Creation Care Coalition (CRICCC) and Riverkeeper for a Hudson River shoreline cleanup at Rensselaer Riverfront and Creekside Parks, May 7 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This event is part of the 11th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the river and its tributaries. Our efforts will help to keep the river system clean for people and for wildlife.
Come for all or part of the event. Social distancing will be observed. People are asked to wear a mask. The Sweep is appropriate for chaperoned children as well as adults. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes or boots, gloves, clothing that can get dirty and remember to bring your reusable water bottle. A long-handled "grabber" or kitchen tongs are useful tools to pick up trash, too.
Questions? Contact Riverkeeper or site leaders Barbara Leonard or Barry Pendergrass.
