Join fellow parishioners and Delmar neighbors as we gather around the St Thomas Peace Pole and pray for peace and for all those caught in the crossfire of war and violence.
“There can be no Eucharist without the priesthood, just as there can be no priesthood without the Eucharist.” (Pope St. John Paul II, Gift and Mystery: On the Fiftieth Anniversary of My Priestly Ordination, New York, 1996, pp. 77-78). The mission of the Eucharistic Revival is to renew the Church by sparking a living relationship with Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. Without priests, this is impossible. Consider spending time in Eucharistic Adoration to pray for the intentions of our bishop, priests, and seminarians. Join us for What is Eucharistic Adoration, presented by Fr. Rick, Fr. Matt, Fr. Charles, Deacon Daniel, and Joan Strait. The presentation will have the same content each time. The presentations will be followed by Eucharistic Adoration. This presentation will surely impact your life whether you have participated in Adoration before, this is new for you, or perhaps you would like to help your family learn how to practice this devotion. All are welcome!

"Night and day, He is there. If you really want to grow in love, come back to the Eucharist, come back to Adoration" -St. Teresa of Calcutta. Commit to an hour or just show up and pray! We would like to ensure that someone is present for all 24 hours to pray in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament. Contact Paul Edmundson at [email protected] to commit to an hour or call the Parish Office (518) 439- 4951.
Think about this, a personal encounter with Jesus is both the source (foundation) and summit (the height) or our Catholic faith. That might seem like an oxymoron, placing two words that at first glance appear to be contradictory or at odds with each other. The Catechism of the Catholic Church states “The Eucharist is the ‘source and summit of the Christian life.’ The other sacraments, and indeed all ecclesiastical ministries and works of the apostolate, are bound up with the Eucharist and are oriented toward it” (CCC 1324).
