to our young people on their faith journey!

Our first and most important concern is for all individuals that join us for faith formation /youth ministry activitives are safe. Safe from abusive words or actions.  

All paid staff and volunteer positions that have contact with children and/or youth  must: 1) Complete the Diocesan Volunteer Application, 2) complete Safe Environment training via CMG Connect , 3) undergo a background check prior to commencing their work or service, 4) sign the Volunteer Code of Conduct  5.) On an annual basis complete the NYS required Sexual Harrassment Prevention Training, 6.) Complete the St. Thomas  Annual Volunteer Form.
 Older teens who work or volunteer and who are under the age of 18 are not required to undergo a background check or to attend CMG Connect training, but must sign a Youth Code of Conduct.

All volunteers must complete the new (as of 2021) Safe Environement Training. Once completed this training will be valid for 5 years.  To begin click on the green button to navigate to the Diocesan website and create a CMG Connect account. After you have created an account clisk on the START button for Safe Environment Curriculm -Albany.  When you have completed the training please print your completion certificate and email it to [email protected].
