Diocesan Appeal ~ As you recall, this year the Bishop's Appeal was renamed the Diocesan Appeal, beginning July 1, 2020, and running through the end of June 2021. This annual appeal supports the needs of the Diocese: Catholic Charities, vocations, and provides the much needed and valued staff which supports parishes throughout the 14 counties of the Diocese, to name just a few. Most of you have already received the direct mailing from the Diocese requesting and encouraging your support during this difficult financial time. Within the next several weeks those who have not yet had an opportunity to contribute will receive another mailing for your thoughtful consideration. St. Thomas the Apostle parish has been assigned a goal for this year's appeal of $181,639. As of this date, the Diocesan office has received $81,890, from outright gifts and pledges, four months "into" the appeal. With a balance of close to $100,000 due, we ask you to prayerfully consider what you can do to meet the parish's obligation. Each year, through your support, we have met, and in some cases, exceeded our goal and we look forward to doing that again this year. New parishioners, or those of you who may not have participated in the past and did not receive a mailing, are asked to go to the Diocesan website: www.diocesanappeal.org. You may also contact the parish office for an envelope, to use for an outright gift or pledge. Please see the bulletin insert and our website for more detailed information regarding this year's appeal. We are so grateful for your participation. Thank you.
