Creation Care Team
OUR SIERRA LEONE WATER PROJECT is making a significant impact on the lives of the children of DEC Mathem Primary School where it is located. The project, which consists of a dug well and hand pump, was made possible through the donations of St. Thomas the Apostle parishioners and friends. To learn about the positive changes the water project has produced, including easy access to clean waterand the ability to consistently engage in healthy hygiene practices, visit Sierra Leone Water Project.
BETHLEHEM FAITH COMMUNITIES' Creation Care Team, initiated by St. Thomas' Creation Care Team, met recently with Dan Rain, Town of Bethlehem Recycling Coordinator, to identify and develop Reduce, Reuse, Recycle projects. Projects range from establishing a Repair Café program to providing Composting education. In addition, with recycling guidelines changing in the Spring of 2020, the Team identified a need for education to allow citizens to correctly participate in recycling. Rain has agreed to provide the Team education which members will share with the community. If you are interested in taking part in a faith-based approach to Reducing, Reusing, Recycling, attend the Team's January meeting (date to be announced) or contact Jeanne Schrempf or Marie Myer.
